This Privacy Policy explains how Elementle (operated by DOBL Ltd) collects, uses, and protects your personal information when you use our daily history puzzle game on web, iOS, and Android. By using Elementle, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

1. Information We Collect

When you create an account, we collect the following information:

• Email address (for login and account recovery)
• First and last name (for personalisation)
• Game progress data (guesses, streaks, statistics, and badges)
• Subscription and purchase information (to manage your Pro subscription)
• Expo Push Token (to send you optional game reminders and streak notifications)

We also automatically collect:

• Device identifiers (for analytics, ad serving, and fraud prevention)
• Advertising identifier (IDFA on iOS) if you grant App Tracking Transparency permission
• Device timezone (via your device settings, to schedule daily puzzles)
• Crash reports and performance data (to improve app stability)
• Usage data (how you interact with features, screens, and settings)

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

• Provide and maintain the Elementle game service
• Track your game progress, streaks, badges, and statistics
• Process and manage subscriptions
• Serve advertisements (personalised if you consent, contextual otherwise)
• Send game reminders and streak notifications (if you have enabled push notifications)
• Send you occasional updates, tips, and re-engagement messages about Elementle by email. You can opt out at any time using the unsubscribe link in any such email, or from your account settings. Opting out does not affect service or security emails.
• Monitor app performance and fix crashes
• Send important service updates (for example, account or security notifications)

3. Data Storage

Your data is securely stored using Supabase, a hosted database platform. We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your personal data will be removed within 30 days, except where we are required by law to retain it.

Third-party data retention:

• Sentry — Crash and performance data is retained for 90 days, then automatically deleted.
• Google AdMob — Ad interaction and measurement data is governed by Google’s own data retention policies.
• AppLovin MAX — Ad mediation and measurement data is governed by AppLovin’s own data retention policies.
• RevenueCat — Subscription data is retained as long as your account is active.

4. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services that may collect data:

• Google AdMob — Serves advertisements via AppLovin MAX mediation. May collect device identifiers and interaction data for ad targeting and measurement.
• AppLovin MAX — Our primary ad mediation platform. Mediates between multiple ad networks to serve advertisements. May collect device identifiers and interaction data.
• RevenueCat — Manages subscriptions and in-app purchases. Collects purchase receipts and a user identifier.
• Sentry — Monitors app crashes and performance. Collects crash logs, device information, and performance metrics. This data is not linked to your identity and is retained for 90 days.
• Supabase — Stores your account and game data securely.

On iOS, we will ask for your permission via the App Tracking Transparency (ATT) prompt before collecting your advertising identifier (IDFA). If you grant permission, advertising partners may use your IDFA across apps and websites for targeted advertising. If you deny permission, you will still see ads, but they will not be personalised to you.

5. Optional Data Use (Consent-Based)

On iOS, we request your permission to collect your advertising identifier (IDFA) through Apple’s App Tracking Transparency prompt. This allows our advertising partners to serve personalised ads that are more relevant to your interests.

If you do not grant permission, you will still see ads, but they will be contextual rather than personalised. You can change your tracking preference at any time from your device’s Settings or from the Privacy Preferences section within the Elementle app.

6. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with the third-party services listed in Section 4, solely for the purposes described. Your game statistics may be aggregated and anonymised for leaderboards and league features. We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights and safety of our users.

7. Your Rights

Under GDPR and UK GDPR, you have the right to:

• Access your personal data
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your account and associated data
• Withdraw consent for optional data uses at any time
• Lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority (in the UK, the Information Commissioner’s Office)

8. Account Deletion

You can delete your account at any time from Settings > Account Info > Delete Account. When you delete your account, we will permanently remove your personal data, game progress, and subscription records within 30 days. Some anonymised, aggregated data (for example, historical leaderboard contributions) may be retained.

9. Children’s Privacy

Elementle is rated for users aged 13 and over and does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction) without verifiable parental consent. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data without appropriate consent, please contact us at privacy@dobl.tech and we will delete it promptly.
